Magadan shrimp is a non-scientific name for northern shrimp that lives in the waters of the Sea of Okhotsk. It differs from its “brothers” in size (it is larger) and a special sweetish iodine taste. It is caught by trawl at a depth of up to 1000 meters, boiled, sorted and frozen in the open sea
